I had to wait a week to meet my Papi and when he arrived I was all sleepy so I had to wait until the next morning to really see him. Since then he has been keeping me amused when everyone else wants a sleep and I don't want to....

3 Generations on the Janaway side..and Uncle Simon too
I had a great time on Friday with the family. Granny Frances, Auntie Claire, Uncle Simon all came over to see me. They even brought over Sammy (Auntie Claire and Uncle Simon's dog) but again I was too busy sleeping to notice him!!

Presents from Nena (my Great Granny)
Wow. I have yet to meet Nena but I hear she is my Great Grandmother. I have to wait until I go back to Northern Ireland until I can see her but she sent me this gift some months back and now I have an opportunity to wear it.
Thanks Nena, although sorry about the face I'm pulling.
Not totally sure what is says but I have it on authority it has something to do with mummy!
A walk in the park
Mummy and Daddy decided to take me out and show me the local sites. I'm lucky to have a park beside our house so we took a stroll around there. Thankfully my cousin Tabitha has lent me her pram (thanks Tabitha) otherwise it could have been difficult to do when you can't walk yet. Hopefully they will sort me out my own soon.
As you can see there are horses and lamas around but unfortunately I fell asleep on this occassion.

How big am I??
My cousins Tabitha and Sam both have a big teddy they can measure themselves against over the weeks so thankfully when Granny Frances arrived with 'big doggy' I just had to do the same. Still haven't decided on a name for my doggy yet but I'll have a think about it between sleeps.

Sometimes though they just don't know when to stop taking a picture of the same thing...
So I was glad to rest with my rabbit instead

SuperDad
Mummy had told me how great my Daddy was going to be so I bought him this t-shirt.
Seems he thinks I can follow in his footsteps....now with just a bit more direction I'm sure I could fly out of here.
Sunday's child
Mummy told me that as I was born on a Sunday I should be bonny and blithe, and good and gay..
Does this face fit the bill or is Daddy just being silly?

Week 37......
Not sure if that is me smiling or looking a little pensive about being only 3 weeks away!! No point in comparing our bellies any further as I am now the clear winner.
Thankfully everyone at work has put us in good stead for the first few months...now where is my hospital list and suitcase to get a bit of packing done?

Bump photo No.3
OK...so it has been some time since you all last saw a photo of our little ones growth. Let's just say our little bump would still like more room (especially around my right rib area) and as long as I take it easy I don't get too much of a kicking/betting in the evening.....
Simon is now trailing behind on the 'bump' score with me in week 33.....

The Pressdees
Sorry everyone it has been so long since our last posting but it has just been so busy at work and sorting out the house. The nesting instinct is definitely underway with a spring clean completed in our bedroom and half of the kitchen completed also. I'm sure you don't want to see photos of these but we had a lovely lunch and walk with Simon, Claire and their new addition Sammy (their Cockapoo dog) around the local park.
You can just about make Sammy out in the background....fortunately he didn't find any squirrels to chase

Sam the man...
We were delighted to hear the news of the arrival of Samuel Richard George Agnew on 9th October.
That makes me next in line within the family......both exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time,,,Friday, September 28, 2007
The final flight home
Week 27/28 and nearing my last opportunity to travel home and see the family/friends. As always though I didn't take the camera out as much as a I should have but have a look at the house. What a difference taking a few trees down at the back of the house does.

Louise's 30th Birthday/engagement party
Can you believe it. The last of my good friends to turn the corner and make it to 30. We had a great time meeting up again in London for Louise's 30th party. OH....and a double celebration too with Ben and Louise also getting engaged. No photos of Ben unfortunately but some below of the old gang from Uni. (Thanks Jess for sending these photos on)
Louise trying to feel our little one dancing to the beat of the music
Jess, Jo and I trying to fit into the frame while Jess held the camera......great shot.

Rubbish - No photos
Hi there
No photos from us this week but we do have an good reason. We have had to send out camera away to be looked at. My fault and we obviously want the camera to be ready well in time for December.
All is well with us though. Went for the follow up scan on Thursday 8th August. The little rascal was sticking it's tongue out at us too, I think the need to set the rules out as soon as possible will be needed with this one.
The bump is coming on well and the little one certainly likes food (the wee rascal likes to reminder when to eat and then does somersaults when I have eaten!!)

Some new pictures of the little one
Here are some more pictures of the little one during the 20 week scan. All going well although from the measurements we are going to have a long legged, pin head of a child.
Look at the little foot....digging around already but not too much to be a pain....

And look here at the the little hand. Other photos show our little one playing around with the fingers.

Barcelona
What a beautiful city.

We did a lot of walking around, tryin to work out what the people were saying, enjoying tapas and drinks and especially the afternoon siestas.
Gaudi's work is truly amazing and inspiring. We mainly visited his places below being the Park Guell.
Possibly our last week trip before the little one comes along and makes 'city breaks' a thing of the past.....

Tomatoes or cucumber anyone???
With news of little Janaway on it's way we thought we would create a vegetable patch to have some healthy food. Simon worked really hard today lifting slabs, turning the soil, adding compost and then planting some cucumber, tomato, chilli pepper, red pepper and rocket leaf plants.
Didn't he do a great job everyone?....only a few months before we can start to eat them now!!
It's Official....
Here is a scan of our little one. Little Janaway was moving around nicely and even looked at us when I started to speak. This photo is from 12 weeks and 5 days so it will be a little while before you'll see anymore!!
I would post a photo of my 'bump' also but I'm still debating if it more 'jelly belly' than little Janaway wanting a little more room so you'll have to wait a little longer!!

Following the mexicans
As Mum and Dad were over we had Simon's family join us for dinner on Saturday. We saw our little niece Tabitha have a great time with her pinata on her birthday so thought we would do the
same and have some fun with the adults.
Not sure if we used the correct 'rules' as
Especially when we started to direct people in the wrong direction of the football pinata. We should make a killing with 'You've been framed' now..
London calling
Old York...Old York
For a wee break we decided to take a trip to York for a weekend break....the first of the year.
York is very beautiful and we had a great time sampling the local attractions as well as Betty's team room.....so much so we went 3 times and we were only there 3 days. If you go to York you MUST try the milkshakes.

And of course there are plenty of parks and old buildings to wander around too!!

Camber Sands
After some fish and chips in Rye we found out Camber was only a few miles away and with that being one of only a few beaches in East Sussex to be sand.....well we just had to go. So off we went. Our only problem on arriving was we didn't have any change for the car park so had to buy something to get change. When we went to the shop there was only 1 obvious choice of purchase........drum rolls.........we bought a kite!!
Childhood returning to us off we set. The kite was flying high in the sky until Simon broke one of the strings and no matter how much we tried to fix it after this it never really worked after that correctly. A shame but it was getting cold anyway and our sensible heads returned again.

Ticket to Rye
Well since it's been a busy year so far, Simon and I decided to take a trip to Rye (a lovely little fishing town in East Sussex). We went into the Church and climbed up some strenuous stairs to get to the top and view the oldest working clock in Britain....working of course and the surrounding area.
